Strategically located on the 2nd and 8th floors of the Li Shu Pui Block and the 2nd floor of the Central Block, our Operating Theatre is among the most advanced in Hong Kong, with surgical facilities in strict compliance with the international standards, taking into account the needs of modern surgery and equipment, optimal patient care and safety.
The 2nd-floor theatres in both blocks are designed and equipped to handle conventional surgeries. On the 8th-floor of the Li Shu Pui Block, the operating room brings cutting-edge advances that include integrated robotic-assisted surgery, endoscopic-laparoscopic systems and hybrid endovascular technologies, for handling complex surgical procedures with accuracy and precision.
All 15 modern operating rooms are equipped with individual HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter) filters and AHU (Air Handling Units). Touch-activated controls are used to monitor environmental conditions, such as lighting, humidity, temperature, air pressure and power, all of which can be monitored both inside and outside the nurse station. With WiFi, internet, and teleconferencing capabilities, live demonstrations of expert surgical techniques can be shared, enabling collaboration and education globally across medical centres.
