Work Rehabilitation

The primary aim of work rehabilitation is to optimise work participation after injury via a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach.

Anyone with an injury or work disability is suitable for work rehabilitation.

Depending on a patient’s physical capacity, sustainable functional abilities and job requirements after injury, the Physiotherapy Centre offers:

Job analysis is an objective measure of the physical and functional requirements of a job:

  • An important tool in work transition planning
  • Identifies essential and non-essential tasks that can be modified or done using adaptive devices
  • Determines the job suitability for clients

The Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) provides a comprehensive, objective assessment of the patient’s body function and safe physical abilities and determines their safe maximal level of function.

An ergonomic assessment is an in-depth analysis to assess the relationship between the environment and the worker. Ergonomic advice will also be provided.

Matching a patient’s capacity with job requirements helps to devise physiotherapy treatment planning targeted at early return to work.
