The Maternity Unit at HKSH has been a cornerstone of our hospital from the beginning and has evolved over the years to meet the ever-changing needs of mothers and newborns. Our dedicated team of professionals includes obstetricians, neonatologists, midwives, nurses, lactation consultants and support staff.

Maternity Unit

Located across three floors of Li Shu Pui Block, the Maternity Unit comprises the Delivery Suite (27/F), New Born Nursery (27/F, 28/F, 29/F), General Ward (29/F), Semi-Private Single Room (28/F, 29/F), Private Room (28/F), and Suite (27/F, 28/F). All rooms are designed with meticulous care and equipped with essential amenities for the maximum safety, privacy and comfort of mothers, newborns, and their families.

The Maternity Suite offers a sitting area, dining area, pantry, two private washrooms, and "The Magic Eye" security system for privacy.

Offering enhanced privacy, the Semi-Private Single Room features a spacious layout with shared bathroom facilities and a family sofa bed.

General Ward

Each bed in the General Ward is separated from each others by a wall-to-ceiling wooden partition. It helps minimise cross-infection and ensure patient privacy.

Nursery

Our expert nursing team provides compassionate care and gentle observation for your baby's start. Located steps from your ward, our Nursery gives you peace of mind to rest and bond in comfort.

Advanced Infant Protection

Equipped with a real-time location security system, the mother-infant matching tags and automated exit security ensure full protection for your newborn.

IE Buddy

The IE Buddy is a bedside monitor that pairs interactive health education with multimedia entertainment. This digital platform empowers patients with vital wellness knowledge while offering a rich variety of leisure options for a more comfortable hospital stay.
